About Me

Hi, I’m Dave, I teach guitar in my home studio in Park Slope, Brooklyn and virtually. I’ve been playing guitar and obsessing about music for over 30 years.

My love for music began when I was a child. I was lucky to grow up in a household where music was always present. During family get togethers, I watched my dad and uncle play guitar and sing songs along with the rest of the party. I quickly realized that music is something special and I was drawn to it. I picked up my dad’s acoustic guitar when I was around 7 years old and never looked back, spending countless hours learning riffs from artists like The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and Led Zeppelin.

I’m thrilled that I get to share my love of music with my students in the Park Slope area and all over the US. Teaching allows me to combine two of my biggest passions; music and helping others grow. I believe that my background as a corporate trainer has given me the ability to break down big tasks into small manageable learnings and to ultimately make learning fun.

I believe teaching goes beyond just sharing information, I believe it’s about making a real connection with your students on going on the journey with them side by side. Music has brought me countless hours of joy and satisfaction and I hope to help you get there too.
